Responsibilities

• Direct end-to-end process design, modelling and validation activities for complex industrial systems
• Lead continuous improvement programmes that raise throughput, yield and energy efficiency
• Mentor junior and mid-level process engineers, reviewing deliverables and fostering technical excellence
• Facilitate process hazard analyses, HAZOPs and ALARP studies to safeguard people and assets
• Generate and maintain essential documentation such as P&IDs, heat-and-material balances and standard operating procedures
• Evaluate equipment options, utility requirements and technology selections aligned with project goals
• Analyse operational data streams to diagnose constraints and deploy corrective process controls
• Coordinate with project, quality, maintenance and operations teams to ensure seamless process handover and troubleshooting support

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering or an equivalent discipline
• Substantial progressive experience in process engineering culminating at principal or senior principal level
• Demonstrated mastery of process simulation, design and statistical analysis tools
• In-depth knowledge of process safety management frameworks, occupational health and environmental regulations
• Proven ability to lead multi-stakeholder projects and resolve intricate technical challenges
• Strong written and verbal communication skills suited to mentoring and stakeholder engagement
• Prior exposure to high-reliability manufacturing or continuous-process environments is advantageous
