Your Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough neurosurgical patient histories and physical examinations to guide diagnostic and therapeutic decisions.
• Order and interpret imaging, laboratory studies, and other tests relevant to neurological conditions.
• Formulate and adjust individualized care plans in partnership with attending neurosurgeons.
• Provide pre-operative education, intra-operative assistance when appropriate, and structured post-operative monitoring.
• Counsel patients and families on diagnoses, procedures, recovery expectations, and self-care strategies.
• Document all encounters, orders, and outcomes accurately within the electronic health record.
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds, case conferences, and quality-improvement initiatives.
• Respond to urgent clinical questions and coordinate transitions of care for neurosurgery patients.

What You Bring

• Current national certification and state licensure as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant eligible to practice as an advanced practice clinician.
• Demonstrated clinical competence in neurology or neurosurgery settings, or a strong foundation ready for specialty immersion.
• Proficiency with electronic medical record systems and clinical decision tools commonly used in surgical practices.
• Excellent interpersonal and teaching skills that foster trust with patients, families, and colleagues.
• Ability to prioritize under pressure while maintaining meticulous attention to detail and patient safety standards.
