The Opportunity
AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a Sr. Mechanical Product Manager to join our team in Austin, Texas. As a key member of the Data Center Engineering organization, you will be responsible for driving product development and management across multiple mechanical engineering disciplines. This role requires a deep understanding of mechanical systems within data centers and the ability to lead cross-functional teams towards innovative solutions that support AWS's global infrastructure.
Core Duties
- Lead the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure mechanical systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware engineers, software developers, and operations staff to ensure seamless integration and innovation.
- Develop and manage product roadmaps that align with business objectives and customer needs.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements for data center mechanical systems.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and reliability of AWS's global infrastructure.
What You Bring
- Minimum 8 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably within the data center or technology industry.
- A proven track record of leading product development and management in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong technical background with deep knowledge of mechanical systems in data centers.
- Experience in cross-functional team leadership and collaboration.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
