The Opportunity
Join Encord, the universal data layer for AI trusted by leading companies like Woven by Toyota, AXA, and UiPath. As a Senior Engineer on our Foundations team, you will own significant projects within our database and processing systems, from design to deployment. You'll build robust distributed systems, contribute to performant APIs, and tackle complex domains at immense scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Take end-to-end ownership of major backend projects, including architectural decisions and monitoring impact
- Create and maintain robust distributed systems, ensuring they handle high load and failure scenarios
- Develop performant protocols and APIs that customers use directly
- Contribute to the long-term product roadmap by solving complex problems at scale with simple solutions
Who We're Looking For
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer who can thrive in a fast-paced, ambitious environment. You should have experience building scalable and reliable backend systems, particularly in distributed environments. A strong background in database management, system design, and performance optimization is essential. Additionally, you must be able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and demonstrate a passion for solving complex problems.
