About This Position
Edfinity is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our fully-remote, close-knit team. As a key member of Edfinity's engineering department, you will contribute to the development and enhancement of AI-powered courseware that significantly impacts educator productivity and student outcomes in higher-ed STEM. Your role will involve full-stack product development, performance optimization, and reliability refactoring using Ruby on Rails, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, ClickHouse, Redis/Sidekiq, and React.
Core Duties
- Develop assessment authoring, delivery, and grading features
- Create educator and student-facing product features
- Integrate with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
- Incorporate LLM-powered features such as auto-grading and evaluation infrastructure
- Optimize performance and reliability to handle daily load and high-stakes spikes
Qualifications
- Strong experience with Ruby on Rails, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, ClickHouse, Redis/Sidekiq, and React
- Proven ability to work in a fully-remote environment
- Demonstrated success in full-stack product development
- Experience with AI and LLMs is beneficial but not required
- A track record of delivering high-quality, stable code
