Nebius is recruiting for the Senior Product Designer - Observability & Data Visualization role as a full-time remote opportunity in Europe. Candidates will find a chance to influence how users engage with sophisticated data and monitoring experiences.

Role Overview

The Senior Product Designer - Observability & Data Visualization opening at Nebius centres on leading visual design for observability tools that present intricate metrics clearly. Working remotely from Europe, the successful candidate balances technical depth with user-centred design to produce scalable interfaces supporting cloud and AI infrastructure products. This position involves direct ownership of visualisation consistency while contributing to broader platform design efforts in a collaborative full-time setting.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead design ownership for data visualisation across the Nebius Platform and Nebius Grafana by defining optimal methods and aligning every observability interface for uniformity.
  • Collaborate closely throughout the product lifecycle with product managers focused on observability, engineers and further stakeholders.
  • Create clear, expandable interfaces for intricate cloud infrastructure products and AI systems.
  • Convert commercial aims, technical limits and genuine user needs into coherent navigation paths and interaction models.
  • Present design proposals along with clear reasoning to cross-functional colleagues.
  • Help develop and maintain the shared design system so product consistency and quality stay high.
  • Support design for additional Compute services inside the Nebius Console whenever required.

Requirements

  • Several years creating data visualisations and dashboards for observability, monitoring, analytics or comparable products.
  • Thorough command of data visualisation and information visualisation principles, including visual hierarchy and matching techniques to specific contexts.
  • Strong grasp of metrics, time-series data and the ways users interpret or analyse such information.
  • Capacity to set and promote best practices for dashboard design and data visualisation across the platform.
  • Skill at balancing usability, consistency and innovation inside complex systems.
  • Solid understanding of the product design process covering discovery, validation and delivery stages.
  • Experience working with fellow designers under a shared product context and design system.
  • Helpful extras include familiarity with UX research and usability testing, work on cloud consoles or other highly complex web applications, and the ability to discuss designs with engineers using HTML, CSS and JavaScript terms.

Working in

This role is listed as remote across Europe, so day-to-day life depends on your base city rather than a Nebius campus. Expect async collaboration across EU time zones and occasional travel if the team meets in person.

Build the skills for this role

Build depth in product design for complex B2B systems, information architecture, and interactive data visualization (time series, heatmaps, topologies). Strengthen systems thinking for observability (metrics, logs, traces) and facilitation with engineering stakeholders. No certification list is provided for this posting.

    • Portfolio case: dense dashboard or observability UX with clear problem, constraints, and outcomes
    • Walk through visual hierarchy and accessibility for high-density charts
    • Discuss trade-offs with engineers on real-time vs. aggregated views
    • Show research or usability work for expert/operator users

Strong match if you design complex, data-heavy products and want AI infrastructure context. Less fit if you prefer consumer/mobile polish over operator tooling. Remote Europe suits designers comfortable with distributed teams.
