Position Summary

At Relativity Space, we are building rockets to serve today's needs and tomorrow's breakthroughs. Our Terran R vehicle will deliver customer payloads to orbit, meeting the growing demand for launch capacity. As a Senior Multidisciplinary Analysis and Simulation Engineer, you will play a critical role in advancing our mission by developing and validating complex simulations and analyses that support the design, testing, and operation of our spacecraft.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Conduct multidisciplinary analysis to ensure the structural integrity and performance of spacecraft components
  • Create and validate simulation models for various aspects of spacecraft operations, including thermal, mechanical, and electrical systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, develop test plans, and interpret results from simulations and tests
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations through rigorous analysis and validation processes
  • Support the development of advanced simulation tools and methodologies to enhance our engineering capabilities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in multidisciplinary analysis and simulation for aerospace systems
  • Proficiency with advanced simulation software such as ANSYS, ABAQUS, or similar tools
  • Strong understanding of spacecraft design principles, including structural dynamics, thermal management, and aerodynamics
  • Experience working on projects involving complex systems and multi-disciplinary teams
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
