Role Overview

The Senior Manager Parcel Insights & Pricing is responsible for the daily support of business development, Ryder clients, finance team, and parcel operations with the analysis and review of pricing new business and analysis of and re-pricing existing contracts. This role requires a deep understanding of market trends, competitive landscape, and financial metrics to drive strategic decisions that enhance profitability and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret complex data sets related to parcel operations and pricing strategies
• Develop and maintain pricing models for new business opportunities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, finance, and operations to ensure alignment on pricing initiatives
• Provide regular reports and presentations to senior leadership on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to parcel pricing and insights
• Identify areas for cost reduction and revenue enhancement in existing contracts
• Stay current with industry trends and regulatory changes impacting parcel operations and pricing strategies

Who We're Looking For

We are seeking a highly experienced professional with a proven track record of success in managing complex pricing models and delivering actionable insights. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 8 years of experience in the transportation or logistics industry, with at least 5 years in a managerial role. A bachelor's degree in business administration, economics, finance, or a related field is required, while an MBA or advanced degree is preferred.

Key skills include strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Experience with data analytics tools and software such as Excel, SQL, and Tableau is essential. A background in pricing strategies, market analysis, and financial modeling is also required.
