The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Senior Finance Administrator to join our team in Ōtautahi (Christchurch), Canterbury, South Island. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional who thrives in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

• Fixed-Term position: 12 months
• Full-time role with 37.5 hours per week
• No remote work option available
• 4 weeks annual leave plus 5 days university holidays
• Generous superannuation provisions (up to 6.75% employer contribution)

Core Duties

The Senior Finance Administrator will be responsible for:

• Managing financial records and ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies and external regulations
• Preparation of financial reports, budgeting, and forecasting
• Assisting in the management of cash flow and financial planning processes
• Maintaining strong communication with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient financial operations
• Supporting procurement activities and ensuring adherence to financial policies

Skills & Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should have:

• A relevant tertiary qualification in finance or accounting (Bachelor's degree preferred)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role within the public sector or private industry
• Strong knowledge of financial management systems and software applications
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with various stakeholders
