Role Overview

The Manager Visitor Operations will lead the coordination, delivery, and continuous improvement of visitor-facing operations across Te Papa. This role is central to ensuring all visitors experience seamless, welcoming, and culturally grounded interactions with the museum.

Key Responsibilities

• Liaise with various departments to ensure smooth operations and visitor flow within the museum premises.

Who We're Looking For

• A proven leader with at least 5 years of experience in a similar role within the hospitality or museum sector.
• Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with staff, visitors, and stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
• A deep understanding of cultural protocols and practices relevant to New Zealand's indigenous Māori communities.
• Experience in developing and implementing operational strategies that enhance visitor satisfaction and engagement.
