What This Role Involves

The Senior Executive role within the Authorisations Divisions of the Food Business Department at the Singapore (nationwide) (nationwide) Food Agency is pivotal in ensuring a secure supply of safe food. The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing the granting of licences, permits, and other authorisations for primary production (farms), non-retail, and retail food establishments, as well as pesticide operations and registration of pesticides.

Your Responsibilities

• Granting licences, permits, and authorisations for various food-related activities
• Ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations
• Managing a dynamic team in the Authorisations Divisions
• Providing strategic advice on regulatory matters to stakeholders
• Participating in the development of policies and procedures related to authorisations

Who We're Looking For

We are seeking an experienced professional with a proven track record in food safety and regulatory compliance. Key requirements include:

• A relevant tertiary qualification in law, public health, or a related field
• At least 10 years of experience in the authorisation and licensing process for food establishments
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and lead cross-functional teams
• Strong analytical skills with an eye for detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A commitment to public health and safety
