Senior Director, Corporate Communications

Pegasystems is seeking a Senior Director, Corporate Communications to join its team in South Waltham, Massachusetts — a full-time, on-site opportunity for an accomplished communications executive ready to lead how a global enterprise software company speaks to the world.

About the Role

As Senior Director, Corporate Communications at Pegasystems, you will serve as the chief architect of the company's external narrative, advising senior leadership while driving strategy across earned media, executive visibility, and corporate reputation. You will lead a team that connects brand storytelling, press relations, and market positioning — translating complex enterprise AI and automation solutions into clear, compelling messages that resonate with business audiences, analysts, and the media.

What You'll Do

• Develop and execute a comprehensive corporate communications strategy tied directly to Pegasystems' business priorities and brand positioning
• Build and nurture relationships with business, technology, and trade press to generate meaningful, high-quality coverage
• Collaborate across Marketing, Product, Legal, and executive stakeholders to align messaging and ensure a consistent company voice
• Lead executive thought leadership initiatives — including media placements, speaking opportunities, and bylined content
• Own crisis communications preparedness and response to safeguard corporate reputation
• Manage, develop, and inspire the Corporate Communications team, establishing clear priorities and growth paths
• Oversee production of press releases, media briefings, talking points, and external communications assets
• Establish metrics to evaluate media impact, track sentiment, and continuously sharpen communications effectiveness

What We're Looking For

• 12 or more years of progressive experience in corporate communications, public relations, or a closely related field
• Demonstrated success leading communications for a B2B technology or enterprise software organization
• Proven ability to secure coverage and cultivate lasting relationships with national and trade media
• Experience counseling C-suite executives and building robust executive communications programs
• Strong command of crisis communications strategy and corporate reputation management
• Outstanding writing, editing, and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify technical subject matter
• Adept at working cross-functionally and influencing across a matrixed organization
• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or an equivalent discipline
