Micron Technology, Inc. is hiring a Senior Assistant General Counsel, Global Operations—Energy Procurement & Utilities Strategy in Campbell, Santa Clara County. This full-time role offers the opportunity to lead critical legal initiatives across Micron's global energy and utilities operations, driving strategic procurement decisions and ensuring regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions.

About the Role

As Senior Assistant General Counsel, you will serve as the primary legal advisor for Micron's global energy procurement and utilities strategy. You will counsel senior leadership on complex legal, regulatory, and commercial issues affecting the company's energy supply chains, utility contracts, and sustainability commitments worldwide. This is a strategic position that blends legal expertise with business acumen, requiring deep knowledge of energy regulations, contract law, and international procurement frameworks.

What You'll Do

• Develop and execute legal strategies for global energy procurement, utilities agreements, and power purchase contracts
• Advise on regulatory compliance across energy markets, environmental regulations, and grid interconnection requirements in multiple countries
• Negotiate, draft, and review complex energy procurement contracts and utilities agreements with internal and external stakeholders
• Identify legal risks and opportunities in Micron's energy strategy and recommend mitigation approaches
• Support M&A and strategic transactions related to energy infrastructure and utilities partnerships
• Collaborate with operations, finance, and sustainability teams to align legal guidance with business objectives
• Represent Micron in energy-related disputes and regulatory proceedings

What We're Looking For

• Juris Doctor degree and active bar license in the United States
• 10+ years of in-house counsel or law firm experience in energy law, procurement, utilities, or related areas
• Deep familiarity with energy procurement, power purchase agreements, and utility regulation
• Proven ability to manage complex, multi-jurisdictional legal matters
• Strong contract negotiation and drafting experience
• Strategic mindset with ability to balance legal risk management and business growth
• Excellent communication skills and ability to distill complex issues for senior executives
• Experience in technology, manufacturing, or semiconductor industries is a plus
