About the Role
As a Facility Attendant, you'll be the backbone of daily operations at the Compost & Clean Fill facility, managing incoming materials and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment for both staff and the public.
What You'll Do
- Accept, sort, and process compost and clean fill materials from residents and contractors
- Operate equipment safely and efficiently, following all operational protocols
- Monitor facility conditions, maintain grounds, and ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards
- Assist visitors with proper material drop-off procedures and answer questions about accepted items
- Maintain accurate records of materials received and processed
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and report issues promptly
- Clean and organize work areas to maintain a professional facility environment
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to perform manual labor in outdoor conditions, including lifting and carrying heavy materials
- Willingness to work safely and follow all environmental and occupational safety regulations
- Strong communication skills and a customer-service mindset
- Reliability and the ability to work independently
- Experience with heavy equipment operation or waste management is a plus
