ProCare Therapy is hiring a School Psychologist for a full-time position in Klamath, California. This role is an excellent opportunity to provide critical mental health support and psychological services within a K-12 school environment, directly impacting student achievement and well-being.
About the Role
You'll serve as a licensed School Psychologist, bringing evidence-based practices to support student development. This is a contract position where you'll partner with educators, families, and students to address academic, behavioral, and emotional needs in a collaborative school setting.
What You'll Do
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations, assessments, and psychoeducational testing to identify student strengths and areas needing support
- Deliver individual and group counseling services targeting social-emotional development, behavioral concerns, and academic performance
- Develop and co-facilitate intervention and support plans alongside teachers, school staff, and families
- Participate in special education eligibility meetings, IEP development, and 504 plan coordination
- Respond to crisis situations and provide threat assessment and de-escalation when necessary
- Contribute to school-wide mental health promotion, prevention programs, and positive behavioral frameworks
- Maintain thorough documentation and communicate progress to stakeholders
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology
- Active California School Psychologist license (required)
- Minimum 1 year of direct experience working as a School Psychologist
- Proficiency with psychological and educational assessment instruments
- Expertise in evidence-based counseling and intervention approaches
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse school communities
