About the Role
The School of BTT at Virginia Western Community College is seeking qualified adjunct faculty to teach courses in Building Trades and Construction Management. This position is part-time and based on the needs of the department.
Your Responsibilities
- Instruct students in various aspects of building trades and construction management, including but not limited to carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and project management.
- Develop and maintain course materials, syllabi, and assessments that align with program standards and learning outcomes.
- Provide a positive and engaging learning environment for students, fostering their academic growth and professional development.
- Collaborate with other faculty members to enhance the overall quality of instruction in the department.
What We're Looking For
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in building trades or construction management, preferably within an educational setting.
- A Master’s degree in a related field is preferred; however, candidates with a Bachelor’s degree and extensive industry experience may be considered.
- Strong teaching skills and the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to diverse student populations.
- Experience in curriculum development or instructional technology is a plus.
