San Francisco – Albertsons Cashier

What You'll Do

• Operate point-of-sale systems with accuracy and efficiency throughout your shift
• Scan products, verify prices, and process customer payments via cash, card, and digital methods
• Greet shoppers warmly, answer questions, and resolve checkout concerns on the spot
• Bag items carefully to prevent damage and meet customer preferences
• Maintain a clean, organized checkout area and balance your register at the end of each shift
• Follow Albertsons policies and procedures to ensure a safe, compliant shopping environment
• Support other departments as needed and contribute to the overall store experience

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent (or equivalent work experience)
• Proven customer service experience or demonstrated ability to interact courteously with diverse customers
• Strong math and attention-to-detail skills for accurate cash handling
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
• Reliable, punctual, and ready to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude
• Familiarity with POS systems is a plus but not required
