About the Role

As a Sales Associate at our Central Falls store, you'll be the face of Dollar General to our customers. You'll handle a variety of responsibilities that keep our store running smoothly while delivering the service our customers expect. This is a hands-on, fast-paced position where you'll develop valuable retail skills and grow your knowledge of our operations.

What You'll Do

• Provide friendly, efficient service at the checkout counter and assist customers throughout the store
• Operate the point-of-sale register, process transactions accurately, and handle cash responsibly
• Stock merchandise, organize shelves, and maintain appealing product displays
• Keep the sales floor, stockroom, and restroom areas clean and well-organized
• Help customers locate items and answer questions about our products
• Follow company policies, safety procedures, and loss prevention guidelines
• Collaborate with store team members to achieve daily sales and operational targets
• Assist with inventory management and store maintenance as needed

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior retail or customer service experience is preferred but not required
• Excellent customer service orientation and communication skills
• Reliable and punctual with ability to work flexible retail hours, including evenings and weekends
• Comfort with handling cash and operating a register
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
• Physical ability to lift, carry, and stand for extended periods
