What You'll Do

• Serve as the registered nurse first assistant during surgical cases by managing tissue, controlling bleeding, placing sutures, and anticipating the surgeon’s needs
• Set up and maintain the sterile field, instruments, and equipment so every procedure starts safely and runs smoothly
• Deliver continuous patient monitoring and hands-on care from pre-operative preparation through recovery phases
• Apply CNA-level support techniques as needed to assist with patient mobility, comfort measures, and basic care tasks within the perioperative unit
• Document care accurately, communicate changes promptly to the surgical team, and help turn over rooms efficiently between cases
• Uphold infection-prevention standards and participate in department process improvements that strengthen safety

What We're Looking For

• Current RN licensure plus formal RNFA training or certification ready for immediate use in the operating suite
• CNA credential or demonstrated ability to perform certified nursing assistant duties alongside perioperative first-assist responsibilities
• Solid background working in perioperative services or operating-room settings with knowledge of common surgical procedures and sterile technique
• Capacity to handle rotating shifts, remaining physically available and alert across varied hours
• Strong critical thinking, clear communication, and calm teamwork skills under time-sensitive conditions
