What This Role Involves

This role is perfect for a new graduate nurse eager to join the dynamic team at UNC Health Care. As an RN in Labor and Delivery, you will be responsible for providing compassionate care to expectant mothers and their families. You'll work closely with experienced colleagues, participate in patient education, and assist in delivering safe and efficient care.

Core Duties

• Evaluate patients and provide appropriate nursing interventions based on assessment findings
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Administer medications and treatments as directed by a physician or other licensed practitioner
• Document patient care activities, progress notes, and observations in the medical record accurately and timely
• Participate in ongoing education and training programs to enhance nursing skills and knowledge

What You Bring

• A recent graduate with an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from a program accredited by the NLNAC/CNAS
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in North Carolina
• Passion for working with expectant mothers and their families
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills
