About the Role

As an RN on the 5BC Cardiac PCU at Mary and Elizabeth Hospital, you will care for progressive-care cardiac patients who need close monitoring and skilled nursing intervention. This part-time position follows a 7a-7p day schedule and places you within UofL Health's collaborative, academically driven care environment in Louisville, KY.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct, evidence-based nursing care to cardiac progressive-care patients on the 5BC unit.
• Monitor and assess patient status, recognizing and responding to changes in cardiac condition.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately while documenting care thoroughly.
• Coordinate closely with physicians, providers, and the multidisciplinary care team to support patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on care plans, recovery, and discharge expectations.
• Uphold UofL Health's standards for safety, quality, and patient-centered service.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure valid in the state of practice.
• Clinical knowledge suited to cardiac and progressive care nursing.
• Strong assessment, critical-thinking, and communication skills.
• Ability to work the part-time 7a-7p day shift and thrive in a fast-paced hospital setting.
• Commitment to teamwork and compassionate, high-quality patient care.
