Registered Nurse – Float Pool

Novant Health is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for its Float Pool at Hilton Head Medical Center in Hilton Head Island, Beaufort County, South Carolina. About the Role

As a Float Pool Registered Nurse with Novant Health, you'll deliver skilled, compassionate bedside care across multiple departments rather than being assigned to a single unit. This full-time position follows a 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. night-shift schedule and is based on-site in Hilton Head Island. To support your transition, Novant Health is offering a sign-on bonus of up to $15,000 and relocation assistance of up to $7,500.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients across a range of clinical units as staffing needs shift each shift.
• Assess patient conditions, administer medications, and monitor responses to treatment.
• Develop and update individualized care plans in partnership with physicians and the broader care team.
• Quickly orient to the routines, protocols, and patient populations of whichever department you are assigned.
• Document care accurately and uphold Novant Health's standards for patient safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) licensure valid for practice in South Carolina.
• Clinical flexibility and confidence working across diverse units and patient types.
• Strong assessment, prioritization, and communication skills suited to a fast-changing environment.
• Willingness and availability to commit to a full-time overnight schedule.
