About the Role
As an RN in Rehabilitation at North Alabama Shoals Hospital, you'll deliver compassionate, evidence-based care to patients working toward independence following injury, surgery, or illness. Working nights, you'll be part of a dedicated clinical team committed to optimizing patient outcomes and supporting successful transitions home.
What You'll Do
- Provide direct nursing care including medication administration, wound management, and continuous vital sign monitoring
- Develop and implement individualized care plans aligned with each patient's rehabilitation goals
- Collaborate with physical therapists, occupational therapists, physicians, and care managers on patient recovery strategies
- Monitor patient progress and adjust interventions to maximize functional recovery
- Document clinical assessments and patient responses in the electronic health record
- Educate patients and families about discharge planning and home care management
- Support a culture of patient safety and quality improvement
What We're Looking For
- Current Registered Nurse license in Alabama
- Clinical experience in rehabilitation, acute care, or related nursing settings (preferred)
- Strong communication and patient advocacy skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively during night shift hours
- Commitment to patient-centered care and positive outcomes
- Reliability and professional nursing judgment
