About the Role
As a Recreation Attendant in our Child Watch program at Thrive, you'll provide attentive, compassionate supervision of children in our secure Tot Drop area. This part-time position is essential to ensuring every child receives consistent care, positive interaction, and a safe environment while parents access Thrive services. You'll be responsible for maintaining an atmosphere where children feel secure, engaged, and supported.
What You'll Do
- Supervise and monitor children throughout your shift, prioritizing their safety and well-being
- Interact appropriately with children, fostering positive relationships and age-appropriate activities
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe Tot Drop space with properly managed equipment and materials
- Follow City of Lewisville policies and procedures for child supervision, emergency protocols, and safeguarding
- Communicate with parents regarding their child's experience and address any concerns with professionalism
- Respond to children's physical and emotional needs with patience and attentiveness
