About This Position
We are partnering with a well-established New Zealand food manufacturer to recruit an experienced Quality Officer. This is an excellent opportunity for a quality-focused professional who enjoys being close to production and takes pride in maintaining high food safety standards. The role offers the chance to work alongside an experienced Quality team, where no two days are the same.
Core Duties
- Ensure compliance with all relevant food safety regulations and standards
- Conduct regular quality audits and inspections of production processes
- Develop and implement corrective actions to address any identified issues or non-conformances
- Collaborate closely with the production team to maintain high-quality standards throughout the manufacturing process
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in food safety and quality management
What You Bring
- A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Quality Officer or similar role within the food manufacturing sector
- Demonstrated expertise in food safety regulations, HACCP principles, and GMP standards
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve quality issues effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working closely with various departments
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to continuous improvement
