About the Role

This full-time, on-site position in Bedford, Hillsborough County, is built for an experienced microbiologist ready to step into a leadership role. As a QC Microbiologist III/Lead, you will guide colleagues through demanding, technically complex quality control work while keeping testing accurate, compliant, and on schedule. The set shift runs Wednesday through Saturday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor team members through a range of intricate microbiological testing and laboratory tasks.
• Perform and oversee quality control analyses that support product safety and regulatory compliance.
• Review and verify test results, documentation, and procedures for accuracy and consistency.
• Coordinate daily laboratory activities to meet production and quality timelines during the Wednesday–Saturday shift.
• Support continuous improvement of microbiology methods, practices, and workflows.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in quality control microbiology, with a level of expertise consistent with a senior or lead role.
• Strong working knowledge of microbiological testing methods used in a pharmaceutical or biopharma environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and support other laboratory professionals.
• Sharp attention to detail and a commitment to compliance, documentation, and quality standards.
• Availability to work the on-site Wednesday through Saturday schedule, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, in Bedford, Hillsborough County.
