Position Summary
The QA Automation Engineer (SDET, Playwright & API) (Europe, Remote) at Intel471 owns the creation and upkeep of scalable automated tests that protect release quality. Working Full Time from Remote, you will apply SDET practices to cover critical user flows with Playwright, harden service contracts through API automation, and partner with engineers so quality gates remain reliable across the delivery pipeline.
Responsibilities
- Build and extend automated test frameworks centered on Playwright for end-to-end and UI coverage
- Design thorough API automation suites that verify service behavior, contracts, and error handling
- Integrate automated checks into continuous integration and deployment workflows for early feedback
- Analyze failures, log reproducible defects, and drive fixes alongside development partners
- Maintain, refactor, and expand existing automation assets to improve speed, stability, and coverage
- Champion SDET standards that embed quality earlier in design, coding, and review stages
- Document test approaches so teammates can understand, reuse, and evolve the suites
Qualifications
- Demonstrated background as an SDET or QA Automation Engineer delivering production-grade automation
- Hands-on expertise creating and running Playwright-based browser automation
- Practical skill with API testing techniques, request validation, and related tooling
- Solid programming ability, commonly with JavaScript or TypeScript for Playwright work
- Familiarity with CI/CD systems and embedding automated tests as quality gates
- Clear communication and collaboration habits that help raise overall engineering quality
