Bcipkg is hiring a Production Supervisor in Reno, Nevada for a full-time role that centers on day-to-day leadership of the production floor. You will supervise, train, and develop a team of approximately 20-30 associates while ensuring products advance efficiently through the facility with consistent attention to quality and schedules, all while reporting to the Plant Manager in a manufacturing plant and warehouse setting.

Core Duties
- Adhere without exception to every established safety rule, policy, and procedure.
- Guide production associates through training, work planning and assignment, performance assessment, recognition and discipline, conflict mediation, team strengthening, coaching for growth, complaint handling and problem resolution, activity documentation, and personal modeling of exceptional conduct, attitude, and results.
- Sustain productive workflows by tracking processes and variables, introducing cost-saving measures, and building reporting systems and methods.
- Deliver the production plan by ranking priorities, tracking advancement, adjusting schedules, fixing issues, and communicating outcomes or concerns.
- Keep equipment running by initiating repairs and preventive maintenance and assisting with troubleshooting of machine problems.
- Furnish manufacturing insights by collecting, organizing, and examining production performance data and records, then answering questions and requests.
- Develop and refine systems and procedures through review of operating practices, record systems, controls, budget factors, and staffing needs.
- Preserve a safe, orderly workspace by instructing associates on equipment use and safety practices.
- Advance personal expertise by joining educational workshops and reading professional materials.
- Support hands-on machine operation, including feeding large presses while remaining fully alert to surroundings, pinch points, and safety requirements.
- Track inventories of sheets, inks, and other converting materials.
- Alert the management team to quality issues and help establish quality guidelines.
- Run weekly production and safety meetings with department associates.
- Coordinate with other supervisors to prevent difficulties at shift handovers.
- Operate a forklift when needed in spaces shared tightly with people.
- Handle other assigned responsibilities.
Requirements
- Two to five years of experience as a production supervisor or manager.
- Prior work in corrugated packaging highly preferred.
- Working knowledge of production machines, plant equipment, and processes, including how equipment design supports efficient use.
- Forklift certification.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Proficiency with lean methods.
- Proficiency with Amtech job costing and Amtech RPM modules.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates.
- Ability to read a tape measure quickly and accurately and to calculate percentages, measurements, volumes, and rates.
- Ability to address problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Results-focused style that works well independently or as part of a team.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skill that yields customer solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Assertive leadership that holds self and others accountable.
