About the Role

The School of Public Health and Health Professions is recruiting multiple Postdoctoral Associates through our Pathways to the Professoriate Program. This initiative actively works to strengthen the diversity of academic leadership in public health, creating opportunities for talented scholars from underrepresented backgrounds to develop their research agendas and transition into tenure-track faculty roles within the school.

What You'll Do

• Conduct original research within your field of public health expertise, with mentorship from faculty advisors
• Develop and lead scholarly projects that contribute to your academic trajectory and the school's research mission
• Author and co-author peer-reviewed publications and present findings at academic conferences
• Participate in seminars, workshops, and professional development activities designed to strengthen teaching and research skills
• Engage in academic mentoring and service activities that support the school's collaborative culture
• Gain experience with grant writing and project management

What We're Looking For

• Doctoral degree (PhD, MD, DPH, or equivalent) in public health, epidemiology, health sciences, or a closely related discipline
• Demonstrated research experience and ability to conduct independent inquiry
• Strong communication and writing skills
• A commitment to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion in academic public health
• Enthusiasm for collaborative research and mentoring
