Position Summary

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain robust platform infrastructure that underpins high availability and efficient scaling
• Build and refine continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines to accelerate reliable releases
• Establish monitoring, logging, and alerting systems that enable rapid detection and resolution of issues
• Apply infrastructure-as-code techniques to provision, configure, and version-control environments consistently
• Manage containerised workloads and orchestration platforms to optimise resource utilisation
• Lead or contribute to incident response, post-incident reviews, and proactive reliability enhancements
• Collaborate with software engineers to embed operational best practices early in the development lifecycle
• Champion security and compliance considerations across platform components and deployment workflows

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience as a Platform Engineer, SRE, DevOps engineer, or in a closely related reliability-focused role
• Solid working knowledge of major cloud platforms and their core services
• Proficiency with container technologies and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes
• Competence in scripting and automation using languages commonly adopted in platform engineering
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tooling and modern configuration management approaches
• Experience setting up observability stacks for metrics, logs, and distributed tracing
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose complex production issues under pressure
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in computing or equivalent practical experience typically expected for this title
