What This Role Involves
The role involves developing innovative plant cell systems to address industry challenges. You will work closely with the Chief Scientist and founders to develop plant cell lines with targeted traits by understanding and influencing biochemical pathways. This is a hands-on laboratory position that requires a strong background in plant biology.
Responsibilities
- Developing plant cell lines with specific traits through genetic manipulation and biochemical pathway analysis
- Collaborating with the Chief Scientist to identify and address key industry challenges using plant biotechnology
- Conducting experiments in a laboratory setting, including tissue culture and gene editing techniques
- Documenting experimental results and contributing to scientific reports and publications
What You Bring
- A PhD or Master's degree in Plant Biology, Biotechnology, or related field
- Experience in cell line development and plant biotechnology
- Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research and solve complex scientific problems
- Strong laboratory skills with experience in tissue culture, gene editing, and biochemical pathway analysis
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team environment
