About This Position

Serving Edgewood and the wider Allegheny County community, the Pediatric Endocrinology forms part of the pediatric endocrine division aligned with UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh and the Department of Pediatrics of the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. The physician will balance direct patient care duties with scholarly expectations that accompany the academic title, addressing both hospital admissions and scheduled ambulatory visits for endocrine concerns.

Your Responsibilities

• Assess and treat pediatric patients presenting with hormonal, metabolic, and growth-related disorders during inpatient stays and outpatient appointments
• Partner with multidisciplinary colleagues to develop and adjust individualized management plans for chronic endocrine conditions
• Fulfill academic obligations that include clinical teaching of trainees and participation in departmental scholarly activities
• Document encounters thoroughly and contribute to quality-improvement efforts within the pediatric endocrine service
• Provide timely consultative support for referring providers across the health system

What You Bring

• MD degree or equivalent medical qualification
• Board certification or board eligibility in both Pediatrics and Pediatric Endocrinology
• Eligibility to secure an unrestricted medical license issued by Pennsylvania
