The Opportunity
As a Transmission Line Patroller at Northpower, you will be instrumental in ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of New Zealand's transmission network. Your role involves conducting inspections across diverse outdoor environments to identify potential risks before they escalate into issues. You will provide critical information that supports maintenance planning, contributing significantly to the overall efficiency and resilience of our infrastructure.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Inspect transmission assets for any signs of damage or wear
- Identify and report potential risks before they become major issues
- Provide accurate data that supports maintenance planning and scheduling
- Work in a varied outdoor environment, often in challenging weather conditions
Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Transmission Line Patroller or similar role
- Excellent communication skills to report findings accurately
- Aptitude for working independently and with minimal supervision
- Physical fitness to handle the demands of outdoor work environments
- Valid New Zealand driver's license
