In this full‑time role you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a welcoming experience while coordinating essential administrative tasks that support clinical workflow.

About the Role

Working within the Community Practice division of the Anschutz Medical Campus, you will help maintain smooth front‑desk operations for a busy family‑medicine clinic located at Park Meadows.

What You'll Do

• Greet patients and visitors, verify insurance information, and collect co‑payments accurately.
• Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments using the electronic health record system.
• Answer incoming phone calls, triage inquiries, and direct messages to appropriate clinical staff.
• Prepare patient charts for visits, ensuring all required forms and prior visit notes are ready.
• Process referrals, prior authorizations, and prescription renewals per provider instructions.
• Maintain a clean, organized reception area and manage supplies needed for daily operations.
• Assist with patient check‑out, including discharge instructions and follow‑up appointment scheduling.
• Participate in team huddles and contribute ideas to improve patient flow and satisfaction.
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations and university policies regarding patient confidentiality.

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework in medical office administration preferred.
• Minimum one year of experience in a customer‑service or front‑desk role within a healthcare setting.
• Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) platforms and basic computer applications.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a courteous and professional demeanor.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and remain calm during peak clinic hours.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance verification processes, and appointment scheduling best practices.
