About the Role
As a Part-Time Local Company Driver, you'll operate our late-model commercial vehicles on regional routes throughout Pennsylvania. This position offers the flexibility of part-time work with the stability of driving for an established transportation company that values driver retention and safety.
What You'll Do
- Operate Class A commercial vehicles safely and efficiently on local and regional routes
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting maintenance needs
- Transport freight and materials according to delivery schedules and customer requirements
- Maintain accurate logbooks and delivery documentation
- Communicate promptly with dispatch regarding route status, delays, or issues
- Follow all DOT regulations, company safety protocols, and traffic laws
- Load and secure cargo appropriately to prevent damage
What We're Looking For
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A) with clean driving record
- Current medical certificate and ability to pass DOT requirements
- Minimum 1-2 years of commercial driving experience
- Strong safety awareness and commitment to accident prevention
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks
- Excellent time management and reliability
- Professional communication skills and customer focus
