What This Role Involves

The role of a Part-time Motor Equipment Operator within the Child Nutrition department involves transporting food and various items both within and outside of the district. The operator is responsible for packing pallets for delivery, ensuring the safety of the load. Additionally, maintaining the Child Nutrition warehouse area, including the freezer and cooler, is part of the job responsibilities.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Maintaining the Child Nutrition warehouse area, including the freezer and cooler
• Packing pallets for delivery while ensuring the safety of the load
• Accepting deliveries and putting items away in their proper place
• Rotating stock to ensure freshness

Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in transportation or warehouse management is preferred
• Able to lift and move heavy objects safely
• Attention to detail for maintaining the safety of food items during transport and storage
• Basic knowledge of inventory management systems
