About the Role

As a New Graduate Behavioral Health RN in this part-time position, you'll work alongside experienced psychiatric and behavioral health teams to provide patient-centered care in a supportive, structured environment. You'll gain foundational competency in mental health nursing while contributing to your patients' treatment plans and recovery goals.

What You'll Do

• Assess and monitor behavioral health patients, documenting clinical observations and patient responses to treatment
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and interdisciplinary teams on individual and group therapeutic activities
• Perform essential clinical duties including vital sign monitoring, EKG monitoring when needed, and medication administration under supervision
• Build therapeutic relationships with patients and provide emotional support during vulnerable moments
• Support patients through crisis intervention, de-escalation, and safety planning
• Maintain accurate medical records and communicate patient status clearly to the care team

What We're Looking For

• Current RN license (or newly licensed in Michigan)
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Interest in behavioral health, mental health nursing, or psychiatric care
• Basic knowledge of or openness to learning cardiac assessment and EKG monitoring
• Strong communication and compassion for patients in behavioral health settings
• Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary care team
• Willingness to grow clinically and embrace structured preceptorship and mentoring
