Mid-Level/Senior Healthcare Procurement/Supply Chain Contract Lawyer – Hybrid in NYC

Axiom Talent Platform seeks a Mid-Level or Senior Healthcare Procurement/Supply Chain Contract Lawyer to support a major New York City public hospital system. This full-time position offers a hybrid work arrangement in New York—on-site Monday through Thursday in our office, with Friday remote.

About the Role

You'll hold a key position in the Sourcing Department, providing strategic contract and procurement legal support to one of the region's leading healthcare systems. This role emphasizes strong interpersonal and communication skills as you work closely with colleagues across departments, including supply chain, sourcing, and clinical administration, to advance procurement initiatives and protect organizational interests.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize healthcare procurement and supply chain contracts with vendors and suppliers
• Identify and assess legal risk, compliance issues, and liability concerns in existing and proposed agreements
• Advise the Sourcing Department and cross-functional stakeholders on contract terms, healthcare regulations, and risk mitigation strategies
• Partner with procurement teams to structure agreements that balance operational needs with legal protection
• Maintain organized contract files, manage documentation, and ensure adherence to compliance and legal requirements
• Support sourcing initiatives with timely legal counsel on healthcare procurement best practices

What We're Looking For

• Professional experience in healthcare contracts, procurement law, supply chain legal matters, or related healthcare business law
• Strong track record negotiating and drafting procurement and vendor contracts
• Ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly to non-legal professionals and diverse stakeholder groups
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach to problem-solving and relationship-building
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex contracts, competing priorities, and tight deadlines
• Juris Doctor degree and active bar admission in New York (or eligibility to obtain)
• Knowledge of healthcare industry regulations and compliance frameworks is a plus
