Medical Director (Physician)

About the Role

As Medical Director with VitalCore Health Strategies in Juneau, Dodge County, you will provide and oversee physician-level medical services for the patient population at the Dodge County Detention Facility. This is an on-site, full-time–category opening offered on a PRN (as-needed) basis, ideal for a physician who values purpose-driven work over profit and wants to help shape quality care within a correctional setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct medical care and clinical evaluations to patients at the detention facility.
• Serve as the lead physician, guiding the on-site healthcare team and setting clinical standards.
• Oversee treatment planning, diagnostics, and ongoing patient management.
• Help ensure care is delivered in line with established correctional healthcare practices and protocols.
• Collaborate with nursing and support staff to coordinate continuity of care.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
• Active, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of Wisconsin.
• Clinical experience that prepares you to lead patient care independently.
• Willingness to work on-site in Juneau, Dodge County, Wisconsin.
• A genuine commitment to serving underserved and correctional patient populations.
