About the Role

In this position, you will manage medical claims recovery cases through every phase from initial intake to final resolution. Working with subrogation principles, you'll partner with healthcare providers, insurance carriers, and legal teams to identify recovery opportunities, resolve complex claims, and optimize recovery outcomes for the organization.

What You'll Do

• Evaluate medical claims to determine subrogation potential and recovery opportunities
• Review medical records, billing statements, and insurance documentation for accuracy and regulatory compliance
• Collaborate with hospitals, clinics, insurers, and legal counsel to collect and verify case information
• Create and maintain comprehensive case files and documentation in compliance with HIPAA and state regulations
• Monitor case timelines, milestones, and deadlines to drive timely resolution
• Provide regular status reports and updates to internal stakeholders and external partners
• Contribute to process improvements and recovery strategy development

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; healthcare administration or medical billing certification preferred
• 2+ years of professional experience in medical billing, claims processing, insurance, or healthcare administration
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and healthcare information systems
• Strong organizational and project management abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Solid understanding of HIPAA compliance, healthcare privacy, and related regulations
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously
• Detail-oriented mindset with high accuracy standards
• Comfortable working independently and collaborating within a team environment
