What This Role Involves

This role involves hands-on mechanical maintenance and operation of the Queensland Gas Pipeline (QGP) and associated facilities. Responsibilities include conducting pipeline patrols, performing routine checks on compressors, valves, and gas processing equipment, ensuring all systems are functioning safely and efficiently. The position is field-based with no two days being the same.

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out mechanical maintenance on compressors, valves, and gas processing equipment
• Conducting pipeline patrols to ensure safe operation of the Queensland Gas Pipeline (QGP)
• Performing routine checks and troubleshooting issues with pipeline systems
• Maintaining detailed records of all maintenance activities and findings
• Working closely with other team members to support overall pipeline operations

Who We're Looking For

Zinfra is seeking a skilled and experienced Pipeline Operator who can contribute effectively to our Gladstone-based team. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in mechanical maintenance, particularly as it relates to gas processing equipment and pipelines.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in pipeline operations or related field
• Proven ability to perform routine and emergency maintenance tasks
• Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures for handling hazardous materials
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Able to work independently in a challenging field environment
