Role Overview

The Maintenance Technician at Marriott in Auckland is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of facilities to enhance guest satisfaction. This role involves regular inspections, repairs, and maintenance tasks across various areas including but not limited to HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical issues, and general building upkeep.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections and perform necessary repairs on all facility systems and equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by addressing any hazards or damages promptly.
• Respond to guest requests for maintenance services in a timely manner.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks as scheduled to minimize downtime and ensure longevity of building infrastructure.
• Keep accurate records of all work performed, parts used, and issues encountered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical training in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or related field preferred.
• A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in maintenance or a similar role is desirable.
• Familiarity with building systems and equipment such as boilers, chillers, pumps, and air conditioning units.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required for this position.
