About the Role
Under general supervision, performs a wide variety of professional level nursing duties for patients served in the clinical areas. This role involves administering and documenting medication administration in accordance with hospital policies, demonstrating knowledge of medications administered to include normal dosages, side effects, and expected outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Administers and documents medication administration in compliance with hospital policies.
- Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of medications, including dosages, side effects, and expected outcomes.
- Provides patient care services within the scope of practice as defined by state law and hospital policy.
Qualifications
- Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) with current Texas license required.
- Previous experience in a general surgery clinic or related field preferred.
- Strong knowledge of nursing procedures, medication administration, and patient care practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
