About the Role
The Legal Officer plays an important role in supporting the Land Titles Office through the provision of legal and policy advice, statutory interpretation, legal research, and contributions to legislation and legal education initiatives. This position is part-time and based in Tasmania, Australia.
Core Duties
- Provide legal and policy advice on a range of matters related to land titles administration
- Contribute to the interpretation and application of relevant statutes and regulations
- Undertake legal research and prepare reports for various stakeholders
- Participate in the development of legislation and contribute to legal education initiatives
- Work closely with the Principal Solicitor and Recorder of Titles on diverse matters, including strata title administration
