Dollar General is hiring a Lead Sales Associate for our High Point, North Carolina store. This is a full-time position where you'll take a leadership role in delivering exceptional customer service and keeping our store running smoothly in the Guilford County area.
About the Role
As a Lead Sales Associate at Dollar General, you'll be a key member of the store team, supporting management while directly working with customers across all departments. You'll help set the standard for customer service and store operations, stepping in to mentor newer team members and ensure our High Point location meets Dollar General's excellence standards.
What You'll Do
- Assist customers with product selection and provide knowledgeable service across store departments
- Process transactions at the register with accuracy and efficiency
- Maintain product displays, shelves, and store appearance to enhance the shopping experience
- Stock merchandise and organize inventory according to store standards
- Support management with opening and closing procedures, including register reconciliation
- Guide and support newer associates in learning store procedures and customer service expectations
- Follow Dollar General security and loss prevention protocols
- Work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holiday schedules as needed

- Proven reliability and strong work ethic in a fast-paced retail environment
- Attention to detail in cash handling and inventory management
- Ability to work independently and contribute to a collaborative team
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and as part of a scheduling rotation
