What This Role Involves
The Lead Hardware Engineer will play a pivotal role in designing and optimizing sophisticated circuit solutions for new Ajax devices. You will be responsible for developing high-reliability PCB layouts, ensuring scalability, and leading complex hardware projects from concept to mass production (10,000+ units/month). This position requires strategic oversight of the entire development process, including cross-functional consultations with firmware and supply chain teams.
- Develop sophisticated schematic solutions and PCB layouts for new Ajax devices
- Proactively identify opportunities for cost reduction and performance enhancement through component unification and innovative architectural shifts
- Lead complex hardware projects from initial concept to mass production, ensuring all technical risks are mitigated
- Act as a subject matter expert for the firmware and supply chain teams to optimize the hardware-software interface and manufacturing yield
- Lead the "bring-up" process, debugging complex issues, and defining rigorous testing protocols
