About the Role
As a Key Holder, you'll be essential to the smooth operation of our Ellettsville store. You'll have responsibility for opening and closing procedures, ensuring security, and maintaining our high standards every single day. This is a full-time position where you'll directly impact the customer experience and team performance.
What You'll Do
- Open and close the store according to company procedures, including cash reconciliation and security protocols
- Oversee daily operations and manage customer interactions with the same knowledge and care Big Red Liquors is known for
- Handle cash, credit transactions, and maintain accurate records
- Monitor inventory, assist with stock rotation, and identify product ordering needs
- Train and mentor team members on customer service excellence and product knowledge
- Ensure compliance with all state and local regulations regarding alcohol sales
- Support the team in delivering the selection, expertise, and personal service that sets us apart
What We're Looking For
- Proven retail or hospitality management experience, or demonstrated leadership in a customer-facing role
- Strong cash handling and basic bookkeeping skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Reliability and attention to detail
- A genuine interest in beverages and customer service
- Willingness to go the extra mile for our customers and team
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn Indiana alcohol sales regulations
