About This Position
The State of Florida is seeking a dedicated and experienced professional for the position of Juvenile Justice Detention Officer Supervisor (SE) - 80039235. This full-time role based in Gainesville, Florida, offers an estimated bi-weekly salary of $1,830.32.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage detention officers to ensure the safe and secure operation of juvenile justice facilities
- Develop and implement training programs for detention officers
- Conduct intake assessments and risk evaluations for juveniles in custody
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to detainee management
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure the smooth operation of juvenile justice facilities
What We're Looking For
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in juvenile justice or law enforcement
- Experience as a supervisor or leadership role is preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Prior experience with risk assessment tools for juveniles in custody
- A valid driver's license and clean driving record
