The State of Florida's Department of Juvenile Justice seeks an Operations Coordinator to join our Tallahassee team in Leon County. This is a full-time career service position supporting critical administrative and operational functions within the nation's juvenile justice system.
About the Role
As an Operations Coordinator with the Department of Juvenile Justice, you'll serve as a key member of our administrative team, managing day-to-day operations and ensuring smooth coordination across departments. You'll work in our Tallahassee headquarters supporting the delivery of services to Florida's youth in the juvenile justice system.
What You'll Do
- Manage operational workflows and coordinate between departments to ensure efficient service delivery
- Maintain and organize records, documentation, and scheduling systems
- Prepare reports and correspondence to support departmental leadership
- Assist with budget tracking, procurement processes, and resource allocation
- Coordinate meetings, training sessions, and departmental events
- Monitor compliance with agency policies and procedures
- Respond to inquiries and provide administrative support to staff and stakeholders
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred
- Proven experience in an administrative or operational support role
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and database systems
- Clear written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced government environment
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
