You will operate at the intersection of IT and business, ensuring that reporting solutions are reliable, timely, and aligned with strategic goals.
What You'll Do
- Gather reporting requirements from business users and translate them into technical specifications.
- Design, develop, and maintain SAP Crystal Reports solutions that integrate with SQL Server, Oracle, and other data sources.
- Optimize report performance through efficient query design and caching strategies.
- Validate data accuracy and troubleshoot discrepancies between source systems and report outputs.
- Collaborate with data engineers to ensure reliable data pipelines and schema changes are reflected in reporting layers.
- Provide end‑user training and support, creating documentation that promotes self‑service reporting.
- Stay current with SAP BusinessObjects updates and recommend enhancements to the reporting environment.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a BI consultant or report developer with a strong focus on SAP Crystal Reports.
- Solid SQL skills, including writing complex joins, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
- Familiarity with data modeling concepts and experience working with data warehouses or marts.
- Ability to interpret business needs and translate them into clear, visually effective reports.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Detail‑oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering accurate, timely information.
